Is there really a such thing as true love?

True love is when you love that person for who they are, faults and all, you put that person's happiness before your own even if it breaks your own heart. When it's true love, it's not "out of sight out of mind." When it is true love, just because you may not be with that person or get to talk to them very much, you still love them no matter what. True love cannot be turned off and on. It is either present or it isn't. If it's true love, you cannot make it go away. If it's not true love, you cannot force yourself into it. It happens or it doesn't.

Saying those "3 special words" can often lead to sexual intercourse, in which case use protection or you risk STDs and a broken heart. An unplanned pregnancy can also ensue. True love may dwindle after this scenario.

There is no secret to true love, for if it is true then there cannot possibly be a secret. How one finds true love is a different matter altogether. In reality I dont think it is ever possible to know whether one has true love or not until you can look back and remember your life with that person and say that there was never a time when you did not feel loved, supported and considered by them.
