The problem is most likely the fact that you have the original Sims 1. 'The Sims Deluxe' uses the cheat 'rosebud'. The cheat for the original 'Sims' is 'klapaucius'. Sucks, so much harder to remember.

I don't know about sims 2 but in sims original, you'd put them in the pool and remove the ladder. (of course you'd have to cheat to move the sim.)
I'm using the first version of the sims games and my sims are frozen. I've tried the move objects cheat and when I tried the boolProp cheat it said that the cheat didn't exist. What else can I do?
I'm pretty sure they didn't have BoolProp in sims 1. Try deleting your sims- if I remember, correctly, they should re-spawn.
