Well, it is definitely unusual, but I don't think "weird" because it is also understandable. I have a hard time sleeping when others are around and awake too. I think there are a lot of things going on there... you want to be involved, you want to make sure everyone else is settled, you want to not be embarrassed by others watching you sleep. I think it is okay, but of course also always good to learn to get enough sleep even if there are others in the house that aren't.
