There is nothing legally or moralling wrong with communications between two human beings, regardless of gender or marital status. It is the purpose of the communications that can be an issue. Chat or Not? I am neither clergy nor judge. All I can say is that to chat or not depends on what you want to get out of your marriage. If your home is no more than one where you can hang up your hat, then I would say that it's OK. But if you are in a functioning marriage and you posit this question when you have a private bond with your marriage partner, I would say that, unless you have your wife's approval, this is cheating. Things might look innocent enough in the beginning, but may I remind you that most extra-marital affairs look innocent in the beginning. I would make up my mind soon. Whatever failings exist in your marriage, correct them. You can get much more information on what happens when you carry on with another woman in the recommendations # 2 and #6 on my Bio Page.
