Well, you CAN chew gum (unless you have braces, I suppose) But you can't chew gum in school because they don't want you to take it out of your mouth and stick it somewhere other than inside the trash can. gum is like one ingredient away from play dough, it's not the type of thing you want to chew on or possible ingest. but everyone chews it, it helps with bad breath and gives you something to think about while chewing it

They are not "teeth", but rather mandibles. They help the grasshopper to tear off parts of a plant, then help it chew its food. They are on the sides of its mouth, most are black in color, and most are inside of the grasshoppers mouth, though I have seen a few with mandibles outside of the mouth.
