Yes you are outside of the normal weight range for your heigth. The reason why is because added fat on the body puts pressure around blood vessels making the heart work harder to pump blood through them. Imagine adding weights on top of your chest, your ribs need to work harder to get a breath. This is what the heart is doing, causing your blood pressure to rise. This is why proper diet and exercise is important.
