Is it a bad idea to date older men?

You should only date older men when your over 21. If you fall for this guy then no one will get in trouble. How ever for those under 21, I recommend a 2 year range. So if your 19 look for guys that are between 21 and 17. Dating someone older than you can be a train wreck at times. Your may guy have grew up in a different generation and your views and his views may collide to much to have a stable relationship. So all and all I say stay within your generation.

It's not really "bad" but depending on the age difference it's wierd...the farther you two are apart in age, the wierder it is -------------------- Depends on what you think bad is. Traditionally, in Western culture its normal for a man to have a younger wife (10 years or less), of course there are exceptions on both sides. There may be societal/cultural difficulties if an 18 year old woman (most would say girl) marries a 55 year old man. Ultimately, the best advice may be to tell you that it is nobodys business but your own.

As long as you are both over the age of consent and you are happy together of coarse it is.
