I have to say this answer is wrong. In the manga (if you people would acutually READ it because they explain stuff better). The deff. of PURE BLOOD is- A person who was born with shinigami powers. This means you only need ONE parent who is a shinigami to have a pureblood- unless they left out info. SO I'm not saying Ichigo's mother was or was not a shinigami, but that is wrong. His mother very well could have been AND PROBABLY WAS a human
