It simply depends on where on the body it lands. Obviously such as sensitive areas as the eyes, nose, and mouth it may be harmful. But if it comes in contact with the skin on the hands, arms, or legs, most likely nothing will happen. Personally, as a child I would play with candles and let the wax fall and dry on my hands for fun. However, if excessive wax is on the skin, it may cause 3rd or even 2nd degree burns.
