No, not usually but they can. Usually just a section of the body gets scanned and it takes a while to do that. The scans are loud and there is not much room inside of one. They don't want you to move either, it is a little like taking a time lapse photo, you move it gets blurred and the techs tell you to hold still.
MRI can be used for both the whole body, or certain parts - the brain being one example.
no, they will usually just put you half way in the machine
an MRI is just a scan
Mri of the body... Or a cat scan of the head

If the MRI technologist positions you with your leg going into the magnet (the MRI machine) then your head would be out of it. Call the facility where you are scheduled to have the MRI and ask to speak with the MRI technologist and they can fully explain to you exactly how you will be positioned.
No u can't. An MRI is done by a giant magnet.
"The cost of a 3-tesla whole body [MRI] system is more than US$3 million." from ... http://www.ic.gc.ca/epic/site/mitr-crtim.nsf/en/hm00286e.html
All body parts can be imaged using MRI. Moreover, MRI scans are not adversely affected by bone, gas, or body waste, which can hinder other imaging techniques.
An MRI
no it is not possible to have an MRI scan because the dfibrillator is dirupted by magnets and that is what an MRI is, a giant magnet.
If you suspect an Inter-Uterine device (IUD) is missing, an MRI can detect it, if it's still inside the body. Of course, if the MRI doesn't detect it, it isn't there anymore.
No. An MRI is just a device to view internal parts of your body without exploratory surgery. It does not add to health ... but it can add to hearth care.
