when the nerve compression is relieved by removing the tight fascia lying above it, there may be an added insult because of swelling of tissues due to surgical trauma. Such swelling will usually subside in ensuing weeks on its own or by use of antinflammatory drugs. There cannot be any ibjective answer about how long would this thing take in total but most usually will settle down in 6-8 weeks.
