It takes about 2-3 hours depending on your size and how your original tubal was done. Filshie clips and rings are easiest to reverse. It also depends on your size. If you have a normal BMI then it will be quicker and your incision will be smaller. On average the incision is about 3 1/2 inches, a bikini cut, and if you have already had a c section then they will use your old scar. If you have it done microsurgically, then you will have a faster recovery. It takes about 10 days to feel like your old self again. You will be able to walk around the next day and some women say they are out and about just hours after the surgery, although I didn 't find that to be my experience. All in all, it was much easier than I expected and cured a whole host of problems that I had been experiencing.
Although the more length of fallopian tube after tubal ligation reversal the better it is not impossible for those with shorter tubes to get pregnant and have children.
It is something to discuss with your doctor - the cesareans have less to do with a successful reversal, than scar tissue on the fallopian tubes. Your doctor can use a laparoscopic tool and dye scan to determine the amount of scarring.
Probably. It depends upon how much of your tubes were burned and how much damage was done. I had my tubes cut and burned...and ultimately had a reversal. I ended up with 4 & 5 centimeters left after the Tubal Reversal, and am currently pregnant and due in 5 weeks!
yes you can, just do a search on tubal reversals.
Either by having a reversal, or by IVF and implantation.
yes you can be pregnant with tubes tied but after a surgery called tubal reversal
Medicaid does cover the operation.
i had my tubes burned where i could not be pregnant and i changed my mine! can this be reverse to have children again!
A tubal reversal is a surgical procedure where the initial tubal sterilization (aka tubes tied) is reversed and an attempt is made to make the woman fertile again.
No. A tubal ligation is a pretty permanent procedure that significantly reduces the possibility of pregnancy. Attempts to reverse the procedure are not always successful. Reversal involves a surgical procedure to re-establish the fallopian tubes.
No, you can't help your tubes grow back together after a tubal ligation. You need to have tubal reversal surgery. This can cost anywhere from $4500 to over ten thousand dollars. I had reversal surgery and it was a breeze. Not only are my tubes open now, I feel so much better than I did when I had the ligation. There are some freak incidences where tubes have grown back together, but it isn't common.
her reverse reversal is that she reversed her reversal a long time ago there for giving her a reversible revsered reversal.
