I had mine for six years before it started to leak and had to be replaced. I calculated it had been accessed around 170 times in those six years. Sure hope my new one lasts that long.
a mediport is used like an iv. ivs have to be changed frequently but a mediport is inside you and you use a different needle that has to be changed less.
A person can download what is known as a Mediport by paying a visit to sites that currently sponsor such products and then selecting the download button from there.

When you have a port or other medical device it is extremely important to understand what the limitations are of the device. If you have mediport you cannot swim or take a shower unless it is covered.
