Sunscreens contain ultraviolet (UV) filters which protects the skin from the ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB). Exposure to ultraviolet radiation can cause sunburn and skin cancer. Sunscreens absorb or reflect the radiation, and therefore protect the skin.

Sunscreen and Sunblocks are made to protect the skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun and can help prevent photoaging.

There are chemical sunscreens and physical sunscreens.

Chemicals sunscreens absorb UV rays.

Physical sunscreens reflect UV rays.

It can be made in powder form, liquid, spray, lotion, balm and much more. My recommendation is physical sunscreens, as they provide broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays (the two harmful rays of the sun).
