The sun can harm humans from sun burn or even skin cancer. If your skin hurts and starts to peel make sure you go to a doctor straight away. To prevent this go to a shop or doctor and ask what sun cream is best for your body. Hope this information has helped you with your concerns. X) :)

It is both good and bad.

A little sunlight on the skin causes the skin to make vitamin D which is needed by the body. The presence of strong sunlight also affects mood - in the far north people suffer form depression in the winter months when there is little sunlight.

Too much sunlight causes people with fair skin to burn (taken too far sunbathing can be fatal and will certainly need hospital treatment). With sunlight the skin becomes damaged and this can cause cancers later in life.

It is interesting to note that people with dark skin originally come from latitudes where the sunlight is strong - the melanin in the skin provides them with a much needed protection from much of the bad affects of sunlight. The peoples that migrated (in the past) from Africa to the higher latitudes have evolved to lose this pigmentation because, with the weaker sunlight the pigmentation became a barrier to the beneficial affects of the sun.
