This doubles the amount of oxygen in your blood and delivers it to your body twice as fast. Because if this, both sides of your brain receive generous portions of oxygen at the same time as opposed to one side at a time like usual. This causes you to think differently. Other side effects are dry mouth, dry eyes, hunger, elevated mood, laziness, sleepiness, possibility if a slight headache and paranoia due to the idea of getting caught doing something illegal.

THC has mild to moderate analgesic effects, and cannabis can be used to treat pain. The mechanism for analgesic effects caused directly by THC or other cannabinoid agonists is not fully understood. Other effects include relaxation; euphoria; altered space-time perception; alteration of visual, auditory, and olfactory senses; anxiety; disorientation; fatigue; and appetite stimulation.
In other words, it gets you high.
