Pull it until it "Pops!" For my jammed thumb, I found that grabbing it as deeply as possible with the other hand and pulling out and rotating towards the palm, gave immediate pain reduction & improved mobility. However, one still needs to protect it and reduce inflammation with ibuprofen and ice.

For fingers with swelling, judicious use of an elastic/constrictive bandage will help keep it to a minimum. If there is residual swelling after 48 hours, thumb (or finger) should be regularly & strongly massaged until it dissipates.

To unjam you're finger you should pull it for a while. You should hear a *POP*. Then put ice on it for a while. This will make a lot of the pain go away! =^)

Actually you cannot unjam your finger it is like a sprained wrist or ankle. It should be better in 2-4 days

Make sure you ice it for fifteen minutes, take a break for ten minutes, then do it again for another fifteen minutes. Wrap your finger and take the wrap off if you need to take a shower. HOPE I HELPED YOU!

Some people like to put some heat on it, others like cold, wrap it, or put a splint on it, but even with those the only way for it to heal is to just wait it out.

There isn't a way to heal it immediately, however, taping it or putting ice on it usually helps the healing process go by faster.

Ice and elevation may help reduce pain and swelling. It may also help to be immobilized by the use of a splint.
