Try drinking a few cups of water.
It should get better, but if not, try patting yourself on the chest.
This should stop it happening.
Opinion: I heard a couple of days ago that pinching your nose and gulping water helps. But I've never tried that.
I have tried tilting my head back and drinking water. That helps.
Anyway write those in to a medical dictionary.
There is also another way that my friend tried on me today, and it works!! (maybe not for all people) 'PWH' stands for person with hiccups by the way!

You keep hiccupping because when you eat/drink you take in air and it is the body's way of getting rid of the air.
Eating too quickly could cause that to happen.
