If there is, perhaps what you inserted was a pill meant to be swallowed, not a suppository to be inserted rectally. Read your medicine's instructions carefully. If you find out that you accidentally inserted a pill rectally, thinking it was a suppository, do not swallow it. Discard it and swallow an unused one or contact your pharmacist or physician for another one if you only had one.
