How do you make your girlfriend understand that you looking at other girls doesn't mean anything?

That depends on what kind of looking you're doing. Typically my rule is that it's ok to look at a girl just long enough for a once over. For example, if a girl walks into the room at a bar or restaurant, you give her a quick once over then look back at your girl. This only works if you do this to everyone that comes in, guys and girls. If you only check out the girls then it makes you seem more interested in them than her. If she questions you about that, then you just say that you're being aware of what's going on around you. If you're "looking" involves watching them walk all the way down the road, well then you're gonna have to be a little more creative like, "she looked just like someone you went to school / work with". Although this may work once or twice, it isn't gonna work much more than that. Guys all know that it's not a big deal to check girls out, but girls naturally will over-analyze this to be a sign of something bad, like cheating or dissinterest in her, when 98% of the time it is just a look. It's usually better to air on the side of caution and be discreet about it. Hope this helps a little.
