To maintain good health it requires BOTH good nutrition and consistent exercise. Consider the following: eat a diet primarily composed of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and white meats (such as chicken, turkey, fish). Restrict intake of processed foods (frozen dinners, canned soups, anything with a long shelf life because even the ones claiming to be healthy are loaded with sodium and other preservatives which your body is not suited to digest). Finally, ELIMINATE fast food from your diet.
Aim to exercise at least 20-30 minutes a day. This doesn't mean you have to buy a gym membership and spend all your free time pumping iron and jogging on the treadmill (although if you like doing that, by all means do so). Experiment with different activities that get your body moving and your heart rate up- swimming, skiing, gardening, hiking, rollerblading, etc. until you find something that strikes your fancy and suits your ability level.
To look handsome: The #1 rule is to wear sunscreen whenever you go outside, even in the winter. Buy a daily facial moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher and put on a thin layer every morning after you get out of the shower. Daily unprotected sun exposure (even just minutes a day) will eventually lead to wrinkles, sun spots, and potentially even skin cancer. If you plan to go to be outside for longer periods of time, wear at least SPF 30 and reapply every hour or two. A second piece of advice I would like to add for looking handsome is to keep yourself well groomed. Try to look put together and have confidence in yourself. Lastly, do not smoke. Smoking is not only expensive, it causes bad breath, wrinkles, and yellowing of the teeth.
