To effectively manage and treat eczema, also known as dermatitis, it is important to follow a comprehensive skincare routine. This includes using gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers to keep the skin hydrated, avoiding harsh soaps and detergents that can irritate the skin, and using topical corticosteroids or other prescribed medications as directed by a healthcare provider to reduce inflammation. In some cases, phototherapy or oral medications may be recommended for severe eczema. It is essential to work closely with a dermatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan for eczema management.
