Men can be nurturers but are not usually in the way we usually view nurturing. Men tend to be the breadwinners. So their way of nurturing usually comes in the form of providing for their loved ones. However, women tend to be nurturers in the more common way we think of nurturing which is emotional and tending to the needs of their loved ones.
