∙ 12y agoIn my English class, we learned that she treats him very suspiciously and is still somewhat angry with him because she knows he had an affair with Abigail. The problem in their relationship is that he had this affair with Abigail and she watches his every move because she is suspicious and worried that this might happen again.
I don't know if that is 100% correct but it's what I remember learning, hope it helps!

∙ 12y agoElizabeth of course. Abigail is to blame for the tragic events in The Crucible, including turning John Proctor and Elizabeth against each other for her selfish reasons.
Abby and Elizabeth were very different characters. They had some similar qualities, but with different motives. They both loved John Proctor and they both were lairs. On the other hand, Abigail was selfish, not very religious, and revengeful, while Elizabeth was selfless, religious, and forgiving.
After the witch trials Elizabeth Proctor survived. Elizabeth was pregnant and therefore was spared. She also later got married and had other children. She was still in love with her hanged ex-husband John Proctor. Even though he cheated on her and lied to her and the court- all of which lead to his death. Also, check the link below as that has more information on Elizabeths' life.
the major one would have to be the teenage girls dancing in the woods, it had lead all the other conflicts... ect the village people getting accused of witchcraft, Abigail had started it... always telling lies and making the situation even worse, that ended up the main conflict the hangings, which Abigail ended.
Some similarities they have are there love interest in John and they both hate each other.
They dont like each other at first, they secretly love each other but is in denial.
In "The Crucible," Mary Warren is reluctant to testify on behalf of Elizabeth Proctor. She is afraid if she does testify, Abigail and the other girls will turn against her. She is finally persuaded to go to court and testify by John Proctor.

No Reverend Parris is not jealous of John Proctor in the Crucible. John Proctor and Reverend Parris do not like each other.

Mary Warren disobeyed her employers and ran off to Salem to help Mr. Proctor save his wife Elizabeth. Some of the other girls had accused Elizabeth of using witchcraft, but Mary knew they were lying.
