The same thing is happening to girls when they go through puberty, but they have much more estrogen and actually end up growing breasts instead of just a little swelling/discomfort.

You can't decrease the size of your nipples. During puberty all boys nipples get larger but some boys also experience temporary enlargement of the surrounding tissue. If this began when you were 12 and you are now 14 it will probably begin to go away pretty soon.
