Yes, im in grade 11 Biology and we recently condicted a seed germinating experiment on sun flower seeds with various temperatures...mine being 20 (constant) 40 60 and 100. 100 just boiled them 2 death, but 20 and 40 grew roughly at the same. However, the 60 batch beat em all in mean shoot length within the specified time frame. I believe it is because of the temperature over stimulating the cells metabolism and in turn, growing at a ab-normale rate Hopes this helps :D
Temperature has the greatest effect on seed germination.
incubators
more chlorine = less seed germination
Yes because of Lauren Hallas.
Seed germination requires the proper combination of oxygen, temperature, moisture and light. As the seed takes up water, it activates enzymes that direct the process of germination.
because mongo seeds are always planted in tropical places so temperature always afects in the germination of mongo seed
temperature does not affect seed germination rate
Depends entirely upon the seed and how much salt.
Moisture, temperature and sunlight
Soil is critical in determining the moisture availability. It also affects the temperature which is a germination factor. If it is too hard, the seed can't escape the seed coat.
Enzymes play a large role in seed germination. The enzymes break down the materials that are stored in the seed.
The conditions necessary for seed germination include:optimum temperature, oxygen, adequate supply of water, sunlight, moisture content, soil ph......
