yes. It also makes people very unhealthy and gaunt. It is easy to spot cocaine addicts because they have no muscle mass, terrible skin, and are skinny to the point of anorexia! not a pretty picture! It is very hard for people to recover from those sort of addictions and many die.
Hense I want to add, that not on a good note, and don't try this, but it is an extremely good way to lose weight if you are an initially obese person. The reason being is that, what is in cocaine is a type of substance that actually is meant to make you not hungry for actual food, but addicts you instead to the cocaine, which as you take it you think it is a type of substance that is food, however, it is not, it is what is in the drug that makes you for one more addicted to it, and lose the weight at the same time, and also, makes you less hungry for food, and more wanting the cocaine, and it slowers your metabolism a lot faster, and allows you to lose the weight in an unhealthy way, as apose to a healthy way, by eating the right foods. It is a very serious drug, and should not be used.
Adderall can work differently on different people. On some, like me, it actaully slows my metabolism down, while also on the other hand removing my appetite. However, I guess then that it really does weigh itself out with each other's opposites...Although it will continue to slow down someone's metabolism, it may not affect their diet, which in turn would cause a gaining of weight. So if in turn, you are worrying about the weight issue, it would depend on your individual case...
Yes it does, it also curbs your appetite. It can lead to cancer but yes it does speed your metabolism up.
The previous answer was incorrect. The previous member was obviously thinking of cigarettes. Nicotine itself does not cause cancer - it is the other chemicals loaded in cigarettes that cause this. Nicotine as found in Nicotine lozenges (NRT) can curb your appetite and speed up your metabolism.

Yes. Nicotine (the main drug in cigarettes) is a stimulant, which means it increases your metabolism. Nicotine also works as a laxative (as does caffeine) -- which is why smokers usually have a bowel movement after their morning coffee and cigarette.
