It's hard to give a general "yes" or "no" to this. Some people insist that it works, whereas others find that it makes things worse. I personally find that mustard aggravates the lining of my stomach and should only be eaten when I'm healthy.

This discrepancy may be due to the reasons behind the nausea, as some foods can make nausea either better or worse. For example, nausea caused by a stomach ulcer can be greatly helped by eating dairy products, whereas nausea caused by a food allergy or a chest infection will be acerbated by dairy, as milk is mucous-forming.

Some popular remedies for nausea include ginger, peppermint and aniseed. My mother, however, swears by Coca-Cola and Salt & Vinegar potato chips.
