No, it does not. But if it is rolled up with tobacco, the smoke will contain nicotine. There's more.
Though marijuana doesn't containe nicotine, it does have a number of hazardous chemicals in it. The problem is that when combustion occurs in smoking materials, the combustion process does not completely reduce the burned material to ash. The partial comubustion of the materials results in dozens (hundreds, actually) of different chemical compounds, as well as carbon monoxide, and soot and other particulate matter are present in large quantities.
Breathing any kind of smoke is not a good idea, particularly in heavy concentrations. A wiff of the grill and the campfire are not to be missed, but we don't stand in a cloud of smoke and try to breathe. Our lungs don't like that. And with smoking - the deliberate inhalation of combustion byproducts - we tend to "hold in" the smoke longer. Particularly when smoking marijuana. This allows greater THC uptake (which is the reason it is smoked) but also allows greater uptake of all the other junk in the smoke. And more particulate matter, those tiny particles of soot and such, have more time to get stuck to something and then are not exhaled.
There are a number of organic compounds that are known carcinogens in marijuana smoke. Sure, there's no nicotine, but some of the other cancer causing chemicals in tobacco are present in cannibis smoke - and at twice the levels they are in smoke from tobacco. Smoking anything is a bad idea if you wish to avoid "dirty" lungs. Breathing smoke is unhealthy, regardless of what is burning. Smoking is a fast way to maximize uptake of THC, but it comes at a price.
Make whatever choices you wish. The word on the street is that THC is a muscle relaxant, appetite enhancer and a couple of other thing. But don't kid yourself. Smoke - the partially combusted products of burning something - isn't good for you. Firefighters have known this for decades.
No doubt both have harmful attributes. However when considering Ciggs over Cannabis, I know of no one but maybe Rastafarians that smoke pot all day. I smoke ciggs and smoke terribly at 40-50 ciggs a day, approx 50 grams. When I smoked pot, a big day would be three joints and most occasions were a joint. So when considering the bad things of both, one is used much much more than the other.
No. There is none.
Marijuana contains things called cannabinoids. The most common, THC is more enjoyable and less harmful then nicotine. Also, THC is nonaddictive.
No but your mom does
No. Not at all.
yes
No. The active ingredient in cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol and several chemical analogs. There is no nicotine in marijuana, legal or illegal.
All drugs that you smoke are harmful to your lungs; cannabis, nicotine, crack etc.
According to the University of Washington ADAI, December 2012, three to five times the tar of cigarettes is inhaled and retained in the lungs of cannabis smokers. Nicotine is the one chemical in cigarettes that seems to be negligible in pot smoke.
No, it is a mild form of cannabis, but when combine with the bark of a Ugandan fighting tree it becomes a powerful aphrodisiac. It can be more effective than Viagra.
There may be trace amounts, although nicotine content is higher in vegetables such as eggplant, tomatoes, and potatoes. The New England Journal of Medicine recently reported that nicotine does appear naturally in a number of common vegetables.
No. Naturally grown cannabis is additive free, 100% natural, and non physically addictive. Whereas Cigarettes are full of hundreds of additives, have Nicotine that causes addiction that is as hard or harder to quit than heroine, and causes cancer. Cannabis has medical properties...it actually helps Cancer patients. However Cannabis when smoked does have Carbon Dioxide that is harmful to your lungs and may lead to respiratory issues. Also some people can get mentally addicted to the euphoric high that comes from Cannabis. All in all though Cannabis is a better way to go than Cigarettes...only problem though is that is is illegal in most of the world.
Cannabis is not a very addictive substance. Symptoms will be restlessness, loss of appetite (food doesn't taste as good as it used to), irritability and insomnia. The symptoms that aren't psychological are greatly less than those of nicotine, so I'll give you the same answer I give everyone I know who wanna quit smoking: Keep yourself busy!
Alcohol, Nicotine and any opiate in the hands of an inexperienced user
That's a truly controversial subject. Whilst medics argue about the scientific facts, psychologists argue about the psychological effects. It certainly is more addictive, but the effects of weed are faster. However, tobacco can have much more devastating effects, e.g. lung cancer.
Cannabis shouldn't be capitalized unless it's at the beginning of a sentence because it's not a proper noun. Cannabis does need to be capitalized when using its proper taxonomic names, Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica or Cannabis ruderalis.
No no marijuana is not addictive, nor damaging it gives you good feeling and helps you sleep, well THC is a substance in weed that makes you get that high feeling when it might not be so cool, people can do it for a variety of reasons, sick, haves cancer, upset.
There is no nicotine in Marijuana, nicotine is in cigarettes.
