It may not be a job requirement, but most likely is an image expectation. I cannot imagine getting my car fixed by a mechanic that does not even tie his shoes or tuck in his shirt, so the same probably applies to a physiotherapist. If they look like they could not even do one jumping-jack, I would have serious doubts about them practicing what they preach, so to speak.
