This generally depends on how much that person has. Someone who tries it once, and then has the sense to give it up, and never touch one again, will probably live as long as they originally would have. It takes somebody thick enough to keep smoking to start depleting their lifespan, somebody who has never smoked would definitely live longer than somebody who smokes regularly.
