On June 2, 2010, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended the medical license of Lundy Eldridge Cavender, Jr., M.D., Lic. No. H7711, of Fort Worth, after determining that Dr. Cavender's continuation in the practice of medicine would constitute a continuing threat to the public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately. An Informal Show Compliance Proceeding will be held shortly. At this hearing, Board representatives will consider whether to lift the suspension or take other action on Dr. Cavender's license. The suspension is in force until superseded by a subsequent order of the Board.
