no nerves transmit signals from the brain to the rest of the body, we wouldn't be able to regulate our bodies temperature let alone move or think without nerves. If you're referring to pain sensitive ones we also need a sense of pain to stay away from dangerous environments and circunstances to prevent premature death. Such as when you put your hand on a hot pot, you have an automatic reaction to move your hand off so as not to possiblely damage your body from the massive heat
