Hi, I am a soon to be RN in a couple of months. Kidney problems are associated with very concentrated urine that is usually orange to brown in color because the kidney would be unable to filter out the things that are not needed. Clear urine is a sign of healthy kidneys.
Additional:
Clear urine is also occasionally an indicator of diabetes insipidus. Also check under diagnostic indices for Polyuria. If it's clear and you're urinating frequently (more than 3L daily), it can -- rarely -- be a sign of renal disease.
If you mean ribs it could be kidney problems like a kidney stone or just a broken rib.
This means that your kidneys are working harder than usual effectively producing more urine, this could be a symptom of diabetes, infection or simply over hydration. if you have an increased kidney function level you will find that you would urinate more frequently than usual. in general this is the meaning of increased kidney function.
it might not be the alchohol at all you could have a serious kidney problem and should get that checked out soon.......kidneys are a very important organ
Probably the most common cause is pyelonephritis, which is an infection of the kidney. It could be caused by a number of other things as well, so having a urine test and possible other testing to identify the problem is important. You want to preserve your kidneys; going without them is not a good life.
It could be a sign of a kidney problem or a metabolic problem, and could be urgent. You would be best to contact your primary health care provider to find out if you should schedule an exam.
I am not a MD but my son has been suffering from chronic kidney stones, it was told to me that tramadol can have renal issues that is why when i suggested it instead of narcotics they said it could do more harm then good....the risk was notwprth it.
this could be caused by urine backing up to a kidney because of blockage .if there is no hydronephroses then the right kidney could be compensating for a smaller left kidney
Have you given any thought to possible kidney infection? It could be a compressed disk. Mine was on the right side.
Pain in your lower left back is very likely a kidney problem, but I would suspect a kidney stone, rather than a kidney infection. Having a kidney stone does not interfere with urination. Cancer is also a possibility, but check for kidney stone first, before you panic.
You can eat oatmeal but its best to just drinkwater & re hydration salts as you could be in danger of de hydration along with mineral loss.

Kidney stones could cause this. An infection could also cause continuous pain.
