I have had my entire head fall asleep, or have "pins and needles" as they say, on several occasions. All of these occasions were after having sex with one particular girlfriend. (I'm sure you are wondering why I would ever break up with such a wonderful partner but, alas, I did.) Numerous sexual partners later, this has never happened to me with anyone else. Why did this happen? (we were not doing anything particularly out of the ordinary, nor anything I haven't done with anyone else afterwards) Has this happened to anyone else? All I could think of at the time was "Oh my God! Am I killing thousands of brain cells by the second?"
If you sit on it too long the blood flow can stop so it will feel like you have pins and needles, so stand and walk for a few seconds then it shouldn't be as bad. That's why people shift when they sit; so they make sure their butt hasn't fallen asleep.
