It depends on how well controlled you are on the ramipril. Decongestants do make your heart race and raise your blood pressure. I generally recommend that you not take them without checking with your doctor first. He or she is going to know your medical history and I don't.

∙ 6y agoYou want to avoid decongestants if you have high blood pressure because it elevates the blood pressure more. Instead try the HBP line of medications from Coricidin - they're for cold and flu but safe for high blood pressure. You can also try a nasal spray like Flonase or Nasacort. Stay away from Afrin because it can also elevate the blood pressure.
