I think I just did. Drank some warm soup from a coffee cup and the soup on the bottom was much hotter than the soup on top.... so when I started to swallow the soup, it was too late - the hot stuff had already gone down the hatch before I realized I needed to stop... ouch.
Other than drinking cold liquids, anyone know of a remedy?
I don't think you did, drinking hot soup really hurts but it wont litterly burn a hole through it.

∙ 13y agoI think so.! Im pretty sure my esophagus is bruised right now...or maybe i just twisted my head around too fast. I was at a soccer game & i turned around really fast and my esophagus has been hurting since. Its not even my neck just that one part. & whenever i touch it, it hurts just like a bruise.
