I will most certainly get criticized for saying this, but recently I have decided to snort Maxalt. It has seemed to work for me. With no insurance and at $41 per pill who can blame you. I am not a doctor and I can't believe there is a doctor that would agree to this, but sometimes we have to make these difficult decisions. I believe that the benefits out way the consequences. I must warn you if you do decide to snort this medication, be very cautious and only use a fraction of the pill (i.e.: one fifth). If you find that this doesn't work for you, increase it a tiny bit in fifths up to one quarter of a 10mg pill. If this does not work for you, stop immediately. There is no sense in snorting an entire pill when you can just take one as recommended by your physician. Another thing I found that works for me is breaking them in half to take orally. Half does seems to work for me, but that is still $20/day. When snorting, one fifth is only $5.00.

It really sucks that a medication as good as Maxalt can be so expensive. I turns a horrible day with a headache go away and you can live a normal life.

I would also like to mention that with some do diligence and research, there are some pharmaceutical companies will assist you with lower costs. However, that is a difficult task. Maxalt is supposed to be going generic in early 2013 but will still cost over $20/ per pill. Also, has bad as this may seem, you may want research on the internet about finding them through other countries. There are some web sites where you can find them from $4.00 to $17.00 apiece.
