Reduce pain, swelling, or temperature
I recommend seeing a doctor to get an evaluation and potential X-ray to determine the severity of the injury. In the meantime, rest, elevate the foot, and apply ice to reduce swelling. Avoid putting weight on the injured toe and consider taping it to the neighboring toe for support.
