Ok, I've done way more than my fair share of meds/drugs etc., but never felt so scared or close to death as when I used cocaine, meth and then I took 1 100mg Trazadone to try and come down and get some rest! Huge mistake! Please don't even try it even though your body may react differently, there's a good chance that it wont and you will be putting your body into a horrible state, including heart palpitations, cardiac arrhythmia, bradycardia or tachycardia, tachepenea, and chest pain like I've never experienced b4 in my life! Not even close and this went on for about 3hr's until the trazadone or high doses of drugs and medications were out of my system! This happened because trazadone is really an anti-depressant, an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor), that acts of different parts of the brain then just a normal sleeping pill which trazadone is also RXed 4 because of its highly sedative qualities! Its a weak anti-D, but messed around w/ my cardiac, and neurological system due to the sedative effects IMHO. I'm not a doc. but am a CCMA in CA. USA and at the time didn't even know that Trazadone was a SSRI since myself and everyone who was on the med used it before sleep to relax! It just goes to show you how important it is to do your research and learn as much as you can about all the drugs you are prescribed or otherwise take, since these can either make a drug/med less, more or ineffective. Ask your pharmacist to take a few min. and tell you about the medication you just got prescribed since it could save your life one day!
