It's possible. However it's not the most likely of scenarios -- sutures are carefully designed to be hypo-allergenic. Most likely is a post-surgical infection at the site. Post-surgical infections happen a lot, and it's hard for doctors and hospitals to talk to you about this, although it shoudn't be. I want you to grab your doctor's attention and spend some time getting a considered diagnosis from him. Your medical program at this time invovles supression of your immune system and infection becomes a high risk, and is FAR more likely than an allergic reaction to sutures. You need to recruit your doctor into this problem, and get this looked at soon. Contact me if you need more advice.
