Yes, they can determine the difference between methamphetamine and Adderall (racemic and dextro amphetamine). Methamphetamine usually isn't in pill form, although you can get a methamphetamine prescription (Desoxyn).

Yes. adderall is an amphetamine salt, while methamphetamine has a methylated unit on the amphetamine. When doing a confirmatory spectrophotometer they can tell the difference between the methylated and unmethylated version. Your body will not add a methyl group to the amphetamine- that is the drug. Some drug tests will test specifically for each, under amphetamines for adderall and methamphetamines for methamphetamines. 9 times out of 10 I would say that they do show up as the same thing, under simply amphetamines. If they show up as just amphetamines, a confirmation test known as the GC/MS test can tell you if it was adderall or if it was methamphetamines that were in your system.. But this method is not used very often, it's more expensive.

Yes they can. Adderall is an amphetamine and it does show up differently then methamphetamine. And the amounts will be a lot lower most likely with adderall then what would show up for meth.
