Yes. adderall is an amphetamine salt, while methamphetamine has a methylated unit on the amphetamine. When doing a confirmatory spectrophotometer they can tell the difference between the methylated and unmethylated version. Your body will not add a methyl group to the amphetamine- that is the drug.
