im no expert but, smoking normally causes a chesty cough in which the person may bring up mucus from the lungs. Unless severe coughing is the cause of this sore throat im sure they wont know. As for drinking that usually affects the liver. iv never really heard of it causing sore throats? although it may depend on how much you do these things. Overall im sure you'll be okay.
