I have been advised to replace amlodipine with diltiazem. Can I do it straightway? Or I should do it gradually?
There are many chemical drugs which are natural calcium channel blockers. Some include Diltiazem, Amlodipine, Verapimil, and Nifedipine. Many more are available however some are not allowed for sale in the USA.
Do not self medicate.

i had a high blood pressure my OB recomend me to take amlodipine. what is the effect amlodipine to my unborn baby?
Amlodipine contains an amino group (-NH2), a dihydropyridine ring, and a methyl ester group.
It is a type of Calcium channel blocker used in treating Angina and cardiac arrhythmias. You can not mix beta blockers with a non-DHP due to toxicity effects. BB and non-DHP both delay AV node activity.Dihydropyridines (DHPs) - Nifedipine, AmlodipineNon-dihydropyridines (non-DHPs) - Diltiazem, Verapamil
Yes, nifedipine and nifedi-denk are both names for the same medication. Nifedipine is the generic name, while nifedi-denk is a brand name of nifedipine. Both versions contain the same active ingredient and work in the same way to treat conditions such as hypertension and angina.
