Yes, anxiety and stress can create a tingling sensation in arms, legs, neck areas. 9-4-09 I have had tingling on the left side of my body for years. When really stressed the tingling really gets bad and I will tingle on my back, buttocks and head. I have never had tingling on my right side. I can go for up to a month with no tingling at all, and then it will start again. I have had every neurological test done. The doctor is not sure why the tingling happens. The best she can say is that there is a small dead spot on my brain, which is common when people get older, I am 55. The doctor says the spot may be from an accident I had at age 20 or I may have had a small stroke a long time ago. I take an anti anxiety med, which reduces my stress but it won't stop the tingling.
Yes, if stress makes you tense than a side effect of the tense muscles would be shaking.
The sympathetic nervous system produces a powerful response in the body, which includes the secretion of hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol as well as causing a great deal of sugar and other energizing chemicals to be dumped into the bloodstream. This causes so much energy to be conveyed to the skeletal muscular system that it can cause quivering of the limbs. One may exercise to burn off the energy and then cool down and rest, then replenish it when calmer by eating and rehydrating, or if the stressful reaction makes you feel dizzy and weak, it may mean your body lacks enough reserves of energy to sustain the reaction. In that case, sit down and try some relaxation techniques, listen to relaxing music, or do some mildly interesting activity that you know will help you trance out a bit. Chill.

It is normal to experience anxiety before a major event, but chronic anxiety can make it difficult for a person to go through life. One of the things that people can do to manage anxiety is exercise. Researchers have found that exercise has a calming effect on the body because of the hormones that the body produces while exercising. Walking, jogging, dancing and cycling are a few things that a person can do to get moving.
