Erm im going to answer this question with another one. Why would you pretend to be jealous? If you really like this girl, im assuming its a girl i could be wrong, you wouldn't need to pretend to be jealous. And you don't need to show off, she'll like you for you not who you pretend to be.

If you aren't dating yet but you like him, you're allowed to talk to other guys, but just don't be too friendly or you might heat up your potential guy.
