If the parents have consented and allow this, then you can do it, however the legality of it is another story. Legally, the parents or state can press charges against the adult if sex occurs and is reported. The 20 year old could be charged with statutory rape.

I would have to say to the 16 year old, go with your heart, but be cautious, you are young and desires and things change as you grow older, don't make any quick decision that you may regret later in life, such as being sexually active too early or even marriage, with parents consent. Finish school and go on to college, if your 20 year old friend really loves you he/she will understand that you have to prepare yourself for your future, though you can include him/her, don't let your dreams/desires/education suffer for him/her.

I would have to say to the 20 year old, you may love this person, but be careful, he/she is young and though may seem mature, don't expect too much at once. Though I know of a few 16 year olds that tend to have a lot of maturity, they are still young and inexperienced and do silly things with out thinking of the consequences. The 16 year old has a lot of growing up to do, a lot of things to experience and learn, understand that though he/she may love you or think they love you, it may be puppy love, don't get so wrapped up in it that you end up hurt or hurting him/her.
