Yes, of course! We all like to give everybody an even chance, but unfortunately, for good reasons or not, coming from a dysfunctional home elicits prejudice. Of course, dysfunction lacks a common denominator. We need to ask what is this dysfunction we're talking about. For if the dysfunction is a broken up family that usually results in a one-parent family, it will depend on the one parent to what degree that family is considered dysfunctional. Of course we all know that a functional family is the best model to learn from. Watching parents interact, understanding how and why they relate to their offsprings, shows the growing adult how to conduct his/her own family affairs.
