It is usually believed that girls are cleaner than boys, however this is a generalisation. If we are to go with the stereotypical "girly-girl" belief, and the "football-crazy" belief for boys, it would be common that girls are in fact cleaner.

Boys are usually seen to participate in sport (although this is once again a stereotype and not always the case at all) and that girls always take pride in their appearance (once again, this is a stereotype). By the pure nature of the activities that boys take part in, it would be fair to say that they are usually dirtier than girls.

However, I would like to reiterate again that these are generalisations!
