Amoxicillin is Penicillin related and you can eat normally when you are taking this drug. It is usually taken 8 hourly. It may be benificial though to stop drinking alcohol while taking. It is important to finish the course even though you may feel better after a few days. If you stop taking too soon then the infection may return and this time you may find Amoxicillin will not work. You will need an alternative med. If you were taking Flucloxacillin, then you can not eat for 30 mins before taking and for 30 minutes after taking.
